Incorporating vintage cameras into his assignment work, Seth’s style embellishes an ordinary location into something memorable.
Roy Berkowitz: Roy has been doing photography since High School and has worked in the industry as his “day job,” probably one reason why he enjoys working with his Holga so much. Through his professional experiences, he now knows enough to be able to see through the outer layers and appreciate and capture the things right in front of his eyes. Roy strives to pare down the information overload and to find out what is the minimal amount of information needed to convey the maximum amount of emotions.
Saroyan Humphrey: Saroyan began his career as an art director in San Francisco after leaving his hometown of Charlotte, NC, at the age of 22. Within a few years he had produced award winning work for various magazines. Saroyan has since designed for a wide array of clients including Isuzu, the City of San Francisco, and Microsoft. Levraging his success, Saroyan has established an eclectic career as an art director and graphic artist. He has launched, designed, redesigned, and consulted for over 75 different publications, books, and companies.
Carol Stevens: Carol Stevens has spent the last 28 years photographing urban and rural landscapes in the U.S. She uses many types of film cameras. As the digital world encroaches on the organic, Carol is shooting Kodak Brownies, Plastic and Pinhole cameras, and Lensbabies to recreate the pictorial view of the great masters of the early 20th century. Carol has been a participant in Fotofest 2006 as well as numerous art shows in Houston, Galveston, and Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Thank you to all the businesses, educators and riders who participated in our last Dog and Pony™ Bus tour, making it a fantastic adventure filled with great new places and faces, lost art, costumes, new studios, new services, new ideas and an impressively trained dog for hire named Chomsky. We stopped in at Rough House, Lost Art Salon, Costumes on Haight, New York Studios, Birdman Locations, Cal Model & Design, Calumet & Michael Thompson Framing. We had a fantastic, eco-conscious lunch catered by Work of Art Catering, which was presented in all-compostable materials, with 0% waste. One lucky rider walked away with 2 new paid jobs.
"Making Music; Married to Media", Bay Area Sound Studios, February 27, 2008
"Thank you so much for putting on a great show...what distinguished panelists. Such a huge amount of information and experience was shared with us ... each panelist was extremely generous with the audience about their past experiences ... there was more than one "breakthrough" as a result of your presentations. I thank you both as an educator and as a film/video maker." -Bonita Wahl, SWA Imaging
On February 27, 2008, the Propville Directory presented "Making Music; Married to Media" a DOG & PONY Showª at Bay Area Sound Studios (BASS) in San Rafael. Our group of esteemed panelists included Leslie Ann Jones of Skywalker Sound (Apocalypse Now, Zodiac, Requiem For a Dream), John Neff (David Lynch), Chris Forrest (Studio Guapo) & Stephen Hart (Werner Herzog, Michel Gondry). Our audience included local sound artists, editors, musicians and voice talent as well as teachers and students from Ex'pressions, Dominican, San Francisco Art Institute and City College. The discussion covered the different facets of sound design, from pre to post, through budgets, recording and mixing and grew lively as the audience began asking questions about their own productions and experiences. During the break, guests chatted with newfound comrades over wine and bites (provided by An Affair to Remember) and took a walking tour of the impressive facilities at BASS exhausting every question BASS director Lynette Daught had to answer. Journalist Roger Rose was there to cover the event for the launch of CineSource (website and magazine) in the Spring. All in all, it was a fantastic evening for everyone involved! Thank you to everyone who attended, we're looking forward to seeing you at the next DOG & PONY Show!
